Fisher Price Toddler Toys Review

The Fisher Price Rainforest collection is not exactly toys ~ well it’s not toys at all really. However, they still make terrific gifts for Christmas.

The collection is actually a matching set of all the different baby gear  you need to fully entertain your baby and actually get a little time to take a shower. Every mother knows how important a few moments of silence to get a shower is!

I find sometimes I might not spend the money for these products, but when I recieve them as gifts for holidays they are always warmly welcomed and have made my life much easier.

So what all is in the Fisher Price Rainforest Collection?

Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo: Everything your baby needs can be found in this Rainforest Jumperoo. Its newly designed frame allows you to opens it up from the top, and lets the seat rotate 360 degrees so baby can play and interact from any side. A fun seat and toys at five locations on the platform engage baby all the way around, and an electronic toy at the front has motion, music and lights that can be activated by baby spinning a drum.

Seat also features a bobbling elephant, a monkey swinging from a vine, a parrot hanging from a bead bar, a clear spinning bead ball, a tiger that plays hide and seek, a spinning lizard that makes rattling sounds, a tethered chew toy and a stack of chips with cute graphics for baby to explore.

Two soft leaves extend from the frame to create an overhead ‘canopy’ with soft toys that dangle down for fun bat-at play. Jumperoo has has three height adjustments for extended use. Frame pivots to a nested position so it can be tucked away when not in use. Includes a motion sensor that encourages kids by rewarding them with lights and sounds when they jump. Weight Capacity is 25 pounds

Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer: The Rainforest Bouncer features a new rainforest themed fashion and toy bar with a see-thru ‘waterfall’ as the centerpiece created by lights and clear spinning helices that create the effect of a waterfall. 2 colorful character friends up top, a monkey and a toucan, keep baby visually stimulated while 2 hanging toys provide lots of activity with spinners and flutters that have lots of bright colors and textures.

The toy bar easily removes for getting baby in & out. Two great modes of play include: 1. mom activated – with 6 longer, continuous playing songs and 2. baby activated – with 6 shorter songs plus 3 sound effects that reward baby for active play with the toys. Also includes mom activated calming vibrations and volume control. 3 point restraint keeps baby safely seated and the pad is sacked out to fully support baby’s head, neck and shoulders.

Fisher Price Rainforest Swing : Perfect for fussy infants, the Fisher-Price Rainforest open-top cradle swing moves from side to side or front to back. Surrounded in comfort, baby watches as plush rainforest friends dance in a circle above the chair.

Gentle nature sounds and one of 12 different songs will play as baby sits in complete comfort. The songs are either soothing for naptime or more upbeat for playtime. When baby’s adventure in the rainforest is over, the swing easily folds up for convenient storage. Stylized for girls or boys, this brightly colored chair has six soothing swing speeds with a plug-in option to save battery space.

The two-position reclining seat and infant head pillow keep baby comfortable and the three-point restraint keeps baby secure. This chair requires four LR20 alkaline D batteries (not included) and measures 43 by 36 by 28 inches (HxWxL).

Fisher Price Rainforest Gym: The gym brings the magic of the rainforest to baby with fun activities and 20 minutes of music. Repositionable toys include a soft hanging monkey, a soft toucan with jingle, an elephant with soft ears and a spinner with beads, a parrot with a paddle spinner, and a frog character mirror. 2 satin butterflies fly around above baby as colored lights pulse on and off while music plays. The large mat has a quilted rainforest scene and is surrounded by a satin border.

Areas on the mat for baby to explore include a large crinkle peek-a-boo leaf with a shiny underside, sun ray ribbons, and a soft tiger tail. A large soft giraffe sits at the bottom of the rainbow arch and has 2 points on which to link toys for baby. Mom can also link the toys to any of 3 link points on the mat as well as to any of 5 link points overhead for a total of 11 places to link toys for baby.

Mom can choose between 3 modes of play: 1. Baby mode allows baby’s play time movements to set off 8 to 12 seconds of lights and music 2. Music mode plays music for 20 minutes while baby plays 3. Rainforest mode plays 20 minutes of rainforest sounds while baby plays. The gym provides 4 songs and 2 sound effects sequences.

Fisher Price Rainforest Healthy Care High Chair:Looking for a way to keep baby entertained while you’re preparing his meal-or cleaning up? How about giving baby a rainforest of his very own to play in? The Rainforest Healthy Care High Chair has a toy that gives baby just that. Snap it into the high chair tray, and baby can play with different rainforest animals in lots of different ways, including activating music, lights & sounds!

There’s also a tethered toy that stays with the tray. And while baby’s enjoying the rainforest, you’ll enjoy conveniences like a one-handed tray removal, 7 chair height adjustments, a dishwasher-safe insert tray and more!

What sold me on the Fisher Price Rainforest model was:
-5 point harness
-Crotch bar so they can’t slide out when you’re unbuckling them
-Tray can be nestled up close when they are sitting so the food doesn’t slide into their lap
-Tray liner that can be put in dishwasher
-Straps that can be put in dishwasher
-Seat cover that can be pretty much hosed down

If you love for all your baby gear to match the rainforest collection is the perfect way to go. It’s great for a boy or a girl, and has everything you could need to get you and your baby off to a terrific start.
